Description
Queendomino is an engaging strategy board game designed for players aged 8 and above. It can accommodate 2 - 4 players in a traditional setting, but with combinations of Kingdomino, it can support 3 - 6 players individually or 6 - 8 players in teams. The game takes around 25 minutes to play. In Queendomino, you step into the shoes of a royal, on a quest to expand your kingdom. Explore diverse terrains like wheat fields, forests, grasslands, swamps, mines, and towns. Strategically conquer these lands, develop the best territories for your people, and increase your kingdom's wealth. Be smart about taxing the lands to fund town construction, carefully choose the buildings to erect, and aim to win the Queen's favor. But watch out for the Dragon's flame, which might ruin your plans. As other players are also vying for the same lands and riches, you need to plan your moves carefully. Queendomino is not only a standalone game but also an expansion of the 2017 Spiel des Jahres recipient, Kingdomino. It presents more complex challenges, a new territory, and a chance for more players to join the fun. The game comes with 4 Starting Tiles, 4 3D Castles in orange, purple, white, and red, 48 Dominoes, 32 Building Tiles, 1 Builders’ Board, 8 King Meeples in 4 colors, 22 Knight Meeples (black), 15 Towers (grey), 42 Coins of different values, 1 Queen Meeple, 1 Dragon Meeple, 1 Scoring Pad, and Illustrated Rules.
How to play Queendomino: First, set up the game by laying out the starting tiles and all the components like the dominoes, building tiles, meeples, and coins. Each player gets a starting tile and a 3D castle. Decide on the grid size based on the number of players. Then, take turns picking dominoes and placing them on your grid to expand your kingdom. You can use the coins you earn from taxing the lands to build buildings on the building tiles. Try to complete territories and win the Queen's favor to score points. Remember, the Dragon might destroy some of your plans, so be ready for that. The game ends when all the dominoes are used up, and the player with the most points wins. Things to note: Make sure to read the illustrated rules carefully before starting the game. Keep an eye on what other players are doing as they might take the lands you want. Maintenance advice: Store the game components in a dry place to prevent them from getting damaged. If the meeples or tiles get dirty, you can gently clean them with a soft cloth.
