Description

Ticket to Ride: First Journey is an independent board game that doesn't need the original version to play! It's a great introduction for all ages to the well - known tabletop franchise. Tailored for younger players, it keeps the strategy, charm, and excitement of the original Ticket to Ride. All family members will love claiming routes and finishing Tickets. Players, especially budding engineers, can use matching colored Train cards or Locomotive cards (which can substitute for any color) to claim routes on the map. Those who claim coast - to - coast routes get a bonus Ticket, getting closer to victory. Ticket cards show players which routes to connect. When you finish a Ticket, you get a new one. If you can't complete your Tickets, just discard and draw new ones. The goal is to be the first to complete six Tickets and win the Golden Ticket. With cute plastic trains and a fun, cartoon - like art style, it appeals to both kids and the young - at - heart. Gather your family and start a cross - country train adventure across the US! Ages 6+, 2 - 4 players, 15 - 30 min playtime.

To play Ticket to Ride: First Journey, first set up the map board and distribute the train cards and ticket cards to each player. Each player takes turns playing matching colored Train cards or Locomotive cards to claim routes on the map. The goal is to be the first to complete six Ticket cards. When you complete a Ticket, draw a new one to keep the game going. If you can't fulfill a Ticket, simply discard it and draw a new one. Be strategic and try to claim coast - to - coast routes to earn bonus Tickets. Remember, the game is for ages 6 and up, and can be played with 2 to 4 players. It usually takes 15 to 30 minutes to finish a game. As for maintenance, keep the cards in a dry place and away from direct sunlight to prevent fading. The plastic trains can be wiped clean with a soft, damp cloth if they get dirty. Have a great time on your train adventure!
