Description
Ages 8 and up can enjoy this exciting game! It's designed for 3 to 6 players and the playtime is 30 minutes or more. The criminal mastermind Mr X has fled from Scotland Yard. As detectives, it's your job to catch him. Use your travel tickets to predict his moves. Chase him by taxi, bus, or underground around Picadilly Circus, along the River Thames, and through Paddington Station. Will you catch this dangerous criminal or will he vanish in the London fog? How to Play: 1. Select a player to be Mr X and give that player a player piece, a travel log with a cover, and special travel tickets. Give the other players - the detectives - their player pieces and travel tickets. 2. Players draw cards to determine the starting stations and place their player pieces there. Mr X draws a card for his starting space and notes it in his travel log without placing his piece. 3. Players take turns picking the right travel tickets (taxi, bus, underground) to move between stations and anticipate Mr X's arrival. Mr X records his moves in his secret travel log, showing up only at specific turns and revealing the ticket he used to reach his next hidden location. 4. Players cooperate to predict where Mr X will appear next and reach that station first. 5. If a player's piece is on the station Mr X noted in his travel log, that player wins. If all players use up their travel tickets without catching Mr X, Mr X wins. Box size: 14.75' x 10.75' x 2.25' inches. Contents: 1 game board, 6 playing pieces, 29 start tickets, 130 tickets for different means of transportation, 1 travel log for Mr. X, 1 visor for Mr. X, 2 inserts, 2 rings for bobbies.
Hey there! So, you've got the Scotland Yard board game. Here's how to have a great time with it. First, when setting up, make sure to choose a player to be Mr X carefully. This player gets some special stuff like the travel log and special tickets. The other players become the detectives. Everyone draws a card to start at a station, but Mr X just notes his start in the log. During the game, take turns using the travel tickets to move around. The detectives need to work together to figure out where Mr X will go. Mr X has to keep his moves a bit of a mystery. One thing to note is that when you're playing, try to think ahead and plan your moves. Don't just randomly pick tickets. Also, keep track of the tickets you use. As for maintenance, keep the game board and pieces in a dry place. If the tickets get a bit wrinkled, you can gently flatten them. Have fun playing and catching that sneaky Mr X!
